Tyreke Evans Apparel
Challenge:
The Sacramento Kings needed a catchy apparel design for their new rising N.B.A star Tyreke Evans.
Solution:
Building on the current urban art movement The Kings were using, I decided to create the Evans font by first sketching with pencil and paper. Once created It was brought into Illustrator and with the pen tool I created my shapes. The brush splatters came from myself slapping paint on a canvas, i imported the canvas picture and using live trace in illustrator turned my splatters into shapes. The shirt was sold to The Kings and in turn both online and in the Arco Arena store for the next two seasons.
